I had to do a Hannibal Smith maneuver today!

I thought I had a cutter in my car and of course when I got to where I was going to walk the dog I suddenly remembered I had taken them out when I went camping the other weekend.

More annoyingly I had taken the ligher out of the pouch with the cutters in it as I knew I had a cutter in the car.

So, with the theme tune of The A Team in my mind I bit the end off and followed that up with the classic spit to the ground.

Amazingly it was one of the better cuts I have had recently, pretty clean and not as destructive as I thought it would be. The cigar behaved itself perfectly too.

It was a 42 ring, not sure I would like to try it with a robusto mind you.

Rather than bite the end off, you should try the 'score and lift' technique. If you have reasonable finger nails, you score round the circumference of the end of the cigar, right at the edge, with your nail, and the cap comes off clean.
