    • Not really listening to it right now, but just got back home from 'Classical Spectacular' at the NIA. It's the second time we've been to see it, and, I have to say, that the Royal Albert Hall is even more than infinitely better for music than the NIA is.

A good mix of the popular classics (hence I can drag the family along with me), and an always fantastic performance of the 1812 Overture as a finale (cannons and all). For those that haven't been, give it a try.

(Undoubtedly the worst promo video in history...)

Nanny in Manhatten, quite catchy !
The promo video for Lilys "A Nanny In Manhattan". This was the first instance of the video on YouTube - authorised by Kurt Heasley himself.

        • Been listening to a new band, Girls, and a couple of older bands--World Party, The Waterboys, and Yo La Tengo. Also been putting on the old Joe Henderson of late. And then there's always Brian Eno.

          • Listening to the best album of the 70s! TRB - Power in the Darkness. Just so feckin angry! Where has all that anger gone? Are our kids just tied to their games consoles and don't even notice the country's screwing them?

            • I saw him/them live on the War Baby tour. He'd softened but was still putting out a strong message. Great stuff.

Saw him a coupla times myself. You're right, he has softened a good bit, but the political message is still to the forefront..... wonder what he makes of the current stupid wars?
