          • Listening to the Best of Elton John at the mo. Forgot how good he is.

Bryan inspired me to re-buy the lost CD I had.

            • I haven't listened to any of his stuff for ages, mate.

              My boys won't let me!

I've got some people coming round this afternoon and we are talking about a new band. I have gigged with most of them before.

I seriously want to form a Country band.

God only knows who will want to listen to us around here.

Anyway, I've come across a local Bonnie Raitt and I'm happy about that.

I was, until recently, in a cash register band.

This time it is for Art.

I hope it will be pretty tongue-in-cheek.

I write cod-Country stuff all the time.

              Elton is very Country, Deano.

              Enjoy, mate. Enjoy.

                • Recently dug out an album that I haven't listened to for a good year or so.

Eskimo Joe - an Aussie band, like a cross between early Oasis and something else, which I can't quite put my finger on... Very good.

That's a good one (gotta love a bit of prog!)

A couple of years back, I sang the vocal on 3 or 4 tracks for an album project that Robert Fripp was involved with.

Don't think it ever saw the light of day in the end though....

                      Oh now, memories!

                          • Wish I could of gone, but was far too young at the time. Can't beleive it is almost 18 years since he died now. Queen's music is timeless, still stands up today in comparison to much newer stuff.

                            • PINK FLOYD

I actually played pulse (the live double album from the 1994 tour) for the first time for ages today....

My God, I absolutely LOVE this!

I went to the show at Earl's Court, and it was literally one of the greatest musical (as well as visual!) experiences of my life...

If you haven't heard this and, like me, you adore the Floyd, you must, must have it (I insist).

All of it is great, but the live performance of Dark Side Of The Moon and the following encore (check out the slide guitar solo in Comfortably Numb ) is simply incredible in my opinion (and takes me right back to the heaven I was in when I was there)

I went more recently to see Dave Gilmour at the Albert Hall; that was another one of my greatest musical experiences.

I have to say, I love all types of music (being a musician and all), but if I had to name my favorite band of all time, it would have to be Pink Floyd.

I base this one two things: 1. My absolute favorite album is Dark Side, and 2. My absolute favorite song is Wish You Were Here.

So, I guess you could say I quite like 'em eh?

                              • True Love

I could be in trouble here...

I just replied to a post by nicwing (click here) alluding to the fact that I'm a happy, straight male.

However, The Floyd is also my most favorite band of all time (six concerts: 2 with Waters; 4 without) and I was wondering if you were free this Wednesday next?
