Agree! I think what he has released since then has been disappointing. There's an album called The Lost Songs which pre-dates White Ladder and is great.
Saw David Gray live at Hammersmith in about 2000 and he was brilliant.
As were Elbow at around the same time. Wonderful stuff.
I was listening to The Deftones when driving home after a gig this evening. I think they are a brilliant band. Very unlike my usual choice of music. Love them because the guitar work is so balls-y and distinctive.

Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Ivention - "Absolutely Free."
It takes a while for me to change out the CDs in my car (which is where I do most of my listening.) But I'll be switching this one out for a new live Fugazi album when it comes in.
I built a cigar box ipod amplifier a couple of weeks ago, so I've been listening to my ipod while smoking out back, but that's a great big mix of stuff.Business in the front. Party in the back.

Re: David Gray
Gotta admit that I found that album ok, but it's aged poorly imo. The repitive beats etc are a little annoying now - I believe he did it all himself, which is why I found his last album (not the most recent) - Life In Slow Motion, much better - the production is of a much higher quality. Some v. good tracks on it, e.g. Hospital Food.
Let me know if you want me to dump a copy on the server somewhere...

Dale, I'll make you one soon. It's awesome because you can throw couple cigars in there and take the stereo anywhere. I sit out back with it and rock out for every cigar. (Ipod not included )Business in the front. Party in the back.
