I'm not a big fan of him or commercial hip hop in general Kdot, I prefer the more instrumental/experimental trip hop, have you hear'd any of madvillian/madlib stuff, its good, he likes to mix old 70s cuts, jazz, samples and beats etc.
If you can, get your hands on this; Madlib beat konducta.
Volume 1-2 being my favorite.

u should check out some mos def, common, 9th wonder and a bit of danger mouse if u get the time, he mixed jay z's black album with the beatles white album and came up with the grey album with some surprising results.

I love mos def, you got yer finger on the pulse there Kdot, I will look into that grey album, not a big fan of jay z or any of todays rappers or MCs to be honest.

That's very nice stuff, that track in particular reminds me of kind of a royskopp style.
