Johnny marr guitar work on that track is sublime, it give me goose pimples when the guitar fades out and in.

I agree there's an awful lot of crap about. There are some good new artists though, have you heard Lady's Bridge by Richard Hawley, worth a listen to

A film soundtrack that's good is the one from 'O' Brother Where Art Thou, also a great film.

Today I am listening to U2 - The Joshua Tree.
IMO this is one of those classic albums everyone should own. I'm not really of fan of much of their stuff since this. but this one does it for me.
I came of age when this first came out and still reminds me of mad and happy times during my youth.
