Had a week down in Woolacombe,Devon. Great little town, great little area of the country tbh. I got back today and I feel like im floating around and I have nothing to do for the evening, I dont even feel like smoking a cigar, gasp!
Think a couple of you have been to Woolacombe I remember rightly, we had a good week weather wise, amazing for the end of september, truly, literally as soon as October hit, it got immediately breezy, and this morning (day we were leaving) it rained for the first time, lucky!
I didn't bring any cigars with me as I thought the weather would be poor and I would be blown about all over the place, but by god there was NO WIND, in a coastal village.....at the end of September, bugger me. To top it off the local vendors only had Hamlets, I had one, it was disgusting. I found some castella cigars, I think they qualify for Panetelas..or mini Panetelas. They were a slight upgrade from the hamlets (hell anything was, maybe even a guantanamo!)
Still the notion of smoking, in a lovely location, with no poxy wind, was great. I managed to visit a GREAT tobacconist in Barnstaple (Youings), I visited there last year and was hoping to go back again to get a proper cigar. I managed to grab a Davidoff (Was surprised to see them as Ive not tried them yet) Tubo, A 2000 corona. Not a bad smoke, nice conneticut wrapper, easy draw and allround easy going. A scorching sun was out on Thursday with little wind, but smokeable conditions none the less, also picked up a ?3 ash tray too, barg.
Oh yes
