New Sherlock Holmes movie

Has anybody seen the trailer for the new Sherlock Holmes movie? It comes out on December 25th. I grew up watching Jeremy Brett play Holmes in the Granada TV series. Jeremy Brett was a perfect Holmes, Robert Downey Jr is just awful. He's too short, does not shave and dresses like a tramp. This is a Guy Richie film and he's clearly never read one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyles books.

I've not seen the film and after viewing this trailer probably never will. I'm a big fan of the books and I've read them all. This film is just Hollywood BS, Holmes comes across as a cross between Batman and Charlie Chaplin. Truly awful.

On the plus side though, I suppose Downey Jr shares a former drug habit with Holmes...

Can't wait to see this TBH...I love everything Guy Ritchie has done (except the Madonna film)....

I like most of Richies movies but have to agree Mr Brett was the nuts as Holmes and I can't see this being anything more than a action flick

I fear it will take a lot to beat the charisma of Jeremy Brett. But we shall see...
