  • When a trade goes south

Recently got involved with a trade on another forum and got nothing in return Sent a number of emails and my addy several times and to this day Nothing,Zipo, Nada. The question is how would You handle it.
I know leaving negitave feedback is going to rune their creditabley but that still doesn't recoup the 10 cigars I sent.
So I guess the question Im asking is How would U handle any trades from this point out?

I agree, no point in just leaving Pos feedback..

If the system is in place to leave bad feedback, do so if you think it is just...

I hope people on this forum would do the same if they get a rare deal...

      Some dodgy sellers out there..

give him hell in public , no way should he be allowed to get away with it. It may not be the first time he's got something for nowt but advising others may make it his last.

Its a tough one...I would only deal with ppl I trust or have been varified by others. Possibly also if they have been active on the forum for a while. If they have no track record then I would ask them to send there package first.

But there is still no real protection if your doing a trade and the other guy turns out to be a scumbag.

Other than that if you get stung then I think you should go public and warn others.

Hate scum dealers, been there myself, he even had the audacity to give me bad feedback even after admitting it wasnt my fault. Let everyone know they are 'iffy it gets people thinking about avoiding them. Its always nice to acquire an address too just incase a slap is in order

If you can not make contact with him. Name and shame him.

You know his address right? Contact the local police and the post office in his area as it is mail fraud. Keep any emails, PMs etc that you had with him regarding your trade.

Good luck brother. I have seen many scammers and it still makes me very angry and sick to the stomach to hear about it.

What forum is it from? What is his user name? I ask because I admin a forum and would like to know if that member is part of my forum

G-man, sorry to hear you've had a trade go south. If you can't get any response out of the trader then you've got to leave some sort of feedback. What's the time-frame we're looking at. If it's a couple of weeks then we might just have a clot that's been on holiday with no internet and not bothered letting you know that there will be a delay (at best, poor manners). If longer, then it's exceptionally poor form on his part and you have to shame him, it's the least he deserves.

                            That sucks serious anus.

Have they been active on the forum since you've been trying to contact them? They may be away, ill or who-knows-what if they've just disappeared. Are they a regular member or new to the forum? Usually in good standing, etc?

Maybe a thread asking if anyone knows as you've been trying to contact them regarding a trade, without specifics? They may well have had email problems, etc. No accusations, but it will be somewhere that others will post if they are experiencing the same thing. Bait.

If they have been active then give 'em hell. Start a thread and leave negative feedback.

Hope it turns out OK for you.

I don't know how they were meant to be sent or how the USPS works, but will they have been sent with some form of tracking number?
