We've already got rid of any nude ladies in case I get in trouble with our ISP, however, we're still posting the odd scantily clad lady and a couple of people have said they like it - and another couple who believe it would be best off of the board.

Thus, in an act of social democracy, lets put it to a poll.

I've never seen the point in soft porn. If one chooses to look at porn, it won't be the soft stuff and if one doesn't like porn, they won't look at the soft stuff. I think it should be banned everywhere

The Poll of Polls

Dudes! (and one or two dudets), I think we may be slip-sliding onto some thin ice with this kind of poll, ( in my opinion, of course).

Is this poll just for fun, as has been the case with previous polls, or will the outcome be used to direct the course of the forum? A majority rules sotra' thing

BTW, questions1,3,and 4 are basically the same, with question 2 being the anti-porn vote. So how do you plan tabulate the votes.

I'm more inclined to allow things to flow in a nature way, like most rivers try to do. Those that enjoy it here will and should hang around and those that don't will likely leave to go somewhere else (or start their own forum) that reflects their own views and values where like-minded folks will gravitate, instead of trying to impose their wills on other (right, mi amigos buenos al notre?).

I joined this forum because of the openness of thought and the freedom of expression found here without worrying too much about what others think (obviously), not to be part of a PC type of place.

But that's just me, TJ, TJCoro, and I guess if I don't like it, I can leave, right muchachos!

PS appologizes for such a lengthy and strong post, ala Robusto stye, but I get arsed off when others, especially the newer members (not that there's anything wrong with knewbees) attempt to impose there wills on others. (breath deep, tj, breath deep)

Yeah? Well I've never saw the point of a"lap dance," but I'll take one if it doesn't cost me anything other than to sit up straight and keep my puro in my pants.

BTW, my religion does not permit drinking. So I say let's start a poll to ban all posts on booze, and anybody with booze in the moniker, starting with the Bar Forum and the so-called senor whisky!

I can understand why some don't want it and why others do. The fact is, you can't please everyone. So, who do you please? The majority? The guys that helped build this forum from an early age? Or the guys you like the most?

How about a section that users have to subscribe too before they can see what is inside it? That way, those that want to look at the porn, can. But the ones that don't like to see it on the forum, don't have to see it?

If you look at the poll questions you could agree with all 4! I am not personally bothered one way or the other, as long as it is in a NSFW thread, also it is not soft porn (maybe one image came close) I have looked at the images and there is nothing that you would not see down the high street in shop windows. I have taken similar, if a bit more classy photographs professionally, and my wife was editor of several magazines, when I asked her opinion, she laughed, and agreed that it is not soft porn.


This is only my opinion, but you would be banning skin! If you want to ban them then you could ban all none cigar related or cigar accessory related photographs, and people can put them in their albums, if they wished, so they can be viewed, other wise how are you going to regulate it? What is allowed and what is not? I think you would have to tread a fine balance. Better to ask all members to keep this with in moderation and in a NSFW thread.

Once you ban one thing, people will be asking for more, there have been mild prejudiced/racist comments in some threads, although said in jest, these may offend some! why should gay members be ridiculed? there are others.....

I do think that there could be some kind of agreed code in the thread titles to display that it is one of those threads. The number of times I have looked at a thread to find a picture is staggering. Nothing against the pics, but not that interested either.

If I knew that's what it was then I would probably not open it. Or a new main catagory for them?? That way people can read them or leave them with no confusion.

This will more than likely be the result... some of our members have similar pictures in their bottom strap lines (or what ever you call it) you can't expect them to change these, or maybe people do!... that would be a shame.

Sounds like a good plan, muchacho. That way, those viewing the forum who aren't members won't be exposed to it (or our dark side, so to speak.)
