Wine Cooler Humidor

For quite a while now I have been thinking and researching the idea of buying a (thermoelectric) wine cooler and transforming it into a humidor to hold boxes of cigars and was just wondering if anyone on here has already done this and if so how's it working out.

I've done quite a bit of research on the subject and the internet is full of people who have done it and say it works brilliantly, as long as you have all the gear, the heartfelt beads, the cigar oasis or something similar and a fan or two. Plenty of guys on the Cigar Aficionado forum also highly recommend doing it, so what's your thoughts?
