I managed to get the new speakers working and they are a massive step up. Unfortunately ordered 6 records in the post and theyve all turned up warped. Probably got a bit hot in the van! Should hopefully get my money back.

Vinyl is frustrating isn't it, some pressings are just plain awful, we bought a couple of Ludovico Einaudi records and I just can't listen to them as the surface noise is just terrible.

Since you mentioned Discogs, another great site imo is www.whosampled.com which can take you down a rabbit hole of original versions, cover versions, samples, drum breaks, aliases and associated artists.

I’m into my vinyl and currently running a Project Debut Carbon with the standard 2M red cart. Keep looking to upgrade to a bronze but haven’t pulled the trigger as yet.
Speakers are B&W CM62S via a Musical Paradise tube amp.
I’ve been into HiFi and AV for a while now and have dedicated setups for streaming and vinyl using a variety of amps and DACs but I’d say the most value for money I’ve ever got vs. hearing a notable change in sound signature is with the above tube amp. I upgraded to some Gold Lion KT88 tubes and the thing absolutely sings now. Best £450 I’ve ever spent and the ‘tube sound’ really is such a different experience to that of solid-state.
I’ve got all my old-mans vinyl from the 60s and have some gems in there incl. original Beatles, Stones etc... Most stuff I buy now is from local indys.

Unfortunately the days of picking up cheap ‘good’ vinyl in charity shops has long gone and most stuff now is 180g meaning they charge you £20.
Few fave’s include:
Floyd - DSOTM
EJ as above
Jethro still - TAAB
King Crimson - In the Court...
Public Service Broadcasting - The Race To Space
Depeche Mode - All
Radiohead - OK Computer

I'm supposed to be seeing them again this Autumn but of course the gig's postponed
I've bought all the recent DVD 5.1 remasters. Gorgeous box sets

Yeah that will likely be rescheduled I think.
Quite randomly I’m sat down the local with a Guinness and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road has just come on...weird.

You can still get This Was, Too Old to Rock & Roll and Heavy Horses on Amazon for about £30 because they're still in print but as soon as they sell out, the price goes nuts... Don't delay

I’m off to Spain mid-August and just seen they are playing about an hour from where I’ll be! Likely to be cancelled though.

Must have missed this thread, just seen it I still use my turntable, and it’s going strong considering it was a 16th birthday present, which makes it 44 years old. Although I no longer by LPs I have a massive record collection in excess of 500 LPs plus hundreds of 45s most of which are boxed and no longer on display. However I do still drag out my favourites, Stones, Springsteen, Jam, Style council etc. Although I long ago stopped buying vinyl and have embraced new technology as it came along.
