FYI - and if you don't know. If you ever use PP in general to transfer between FRIENDS & FAMILY, make a mistake and a reversal (refund) is needed, please note that PP now no longer refunds the transaction fee of 3,4%. Please keep in mind

I didn't know you could refund an f&f only a purchase...good to know
I always thought the point of sending it as F&F was that there wasn't a fee for anyone? I pretty sure I've never been charged one when sending or receiving
Yeah I?m confused are you saying if we transfer via F&F we now get charged a fee on returning the money? Sending money F&F has always been free which was the point isn?t it?
Or is this for normal transactions? That they no longer return the fees if you do a refund?
There are no fees when you transfer F&F, and there never have been IF you have money in your PP account.
HOWEVER, sometimes it happens that the sender MISSES the procedure of transferring as F&F and in stead transfers as commercial. THIS incurs a fee on the receiver of 3,4%.
BEFORE it was possible to issue a total refund where even the PP fee was refunded to sender. THIS is now not possible any more, so if a mistake is made, there?s no point in issuing a refund and doing the whole thing over, since PP already bagged the 3,4%[emoji41]

Makes more sense than the original post! So basically, use f&f first time every time.
Oh I get it now! That is really poor of them as it includes all refunds so if I was to sell something online the post office say lost it I refund the buyer. Claim back money from the PO but still lose my fees to PP.
It?s amazing how no one has successful taken PayPal?s stranglehold on this service away from them with their horrendous history and charges
I usually use F&F to transfer funds.
Yet to return something paid by PP so don't know how this would affect the refunded value.
Only buy things through PP if the site doesn't accept Amex as my PP is linked to my Amex card and I get 5% cash back on all Amex transactions.

Yes, however it is quite often the case that people miss the FF button, but thats going to be costly from now on
