I do have some cedar ball that came with my shoe trees lol
James
The cedar that you have will not be Spanish Cedar which is closer to Mahogany than other Cedar species and could well taint your cigars if you put them together. The only thing you need to put in a scubador other than cigars are a couple of 65% bovedas.
Give it a clean with some distilled water and put some newspaper in for a few days. I left the door open for a few days too. Had mine over a year and half, and no plastic smell.
I keeping my eye out for a repair wine cooler of ebay and also cedar for ebay so I can line the cooler but I thought I would stop a about 50 cigars. How ever I feel really poorly I think I've got CAD or something similar.

Scuba tupperware locknlock boxes and wine coolers dont need lining with cedar. You only really need this stuff when you buy boxes.... and the boxes are cedar.... hence it sorta sorts itself.
There are a few stickie posts on advice for beginners / newbies sniff them out.
"Dear heart, you're talking to a man- a real man- who drinks straight Tequilla, with lime and salt on the rim, and smokes cigars" (J Zavala)
Interesting start there, be good to hear your thoughts on the NCs I really want to get some but it comes across as such a minefield. Guess you just need to jump in and try a load!
Those Monte Espada?s are very intriguing too really need to learn more about NCs
