I think the guide is a minimum of 100 posts and 3 months of activity to be granted PM's - or is that just for complete newbies? I'm sure there is a sticky on it somewhere in the forum.

I'm pretty sure it's 3 months minimum to stop folk posting lots in a short period purely to get into the sales/trade areas.

I belive the key bit of the guidelines is the 'contribution to the forum' . I've seen plenty of people post lots but it's my belief that quality will always add more than quantity in this area.
