Having children rather limits the potential for a walk & puff. I am forbidden from smoking in front of the kids which is right and proper and I am so little away from them in potential puffing moments that I never do.

Maybe a perambulation around the village when the little darlings are in bed is not out of the question though. The more I think of it the more I like it

      Definitely a confirmed stogie gob-walker.

Of course, there's nothing like the pleasure of sitting comfortably with a light libation and enjoying a fine puro. However, my daily walkies with my ever-faithful dog, affords me the opportunity for 30-45 minutes of continuous time in which my only responsibility is to enjoy the 30-45 minutes of continuous time (and, of course, allow the mutt to do her business). What better way to spend uninterrupted time than with a favorite stogie. In fact, I have stocked up on several boxes of "walkies" cigars: short, tasty smokes which by meticulous experimentation will last exactly the duration of our trip around the block.

I love a walk and a smoke, and I know what you mean about the extrovert thing.

My job is as a mobile security patrol and alarm response officer, so naturally my risk assesment forms are long and tedious, due to the dangers and risks and yobs and organised crime gangs etc lol

Now I'm not particularly nervous anyway, but I feel completely confident with a stick in my mouth. I'll usually be holding onto it with my teeth while I use my hands for keys and torch etc. When I'm drving to my next site, I love having my window down and watching the puff of smoke disappear into the distance in my wing mirrors

Absolute poser, I am. Having said that, I wouldnt take any finer cigars to work I dont think, as I'm less able to concentrate on them.
Warning: Smoking cigars may cause a slow and delicious death.

            I'm with you, Monk.

            Who does it best?
            John Wayne?

It's just a way of cranking up your inner mean bastard, I think.

Looking tougher than you really are. (In my case when I clutch it and frown a bit).

Who are the best film idols for this?
Is there a black and white film guy called Edward G Robinson with a machine gun?

Not a ' gob-walker' here......for no real reason apart from I like to relax with a drink and a cigar.

However, when the salmon fishing is quiet and a fish is more unlikely than normal, I do wade, cast, and enjoy a cigar at the same time. No worries on where the ash falls for once.

Love it, simongriffiths! The furthest to walk with a stick is to the booze and back, top motto.

I'm not really one to smoke on a walk ... I need to sit down and think about the darn thing, or else who knows what I'd unintentionally set fire to with a stogie on the go in the countryside!

I quite often enjoy a short smoke on the way home from the pub, if I've been inside with non-smokers for the evening. I do enjoy a peaceful walk with cigar in hand/mouth.
