Noticed I had put a bit on since the last cruise & it hadn't shifted so started only having one cooked meal day (there are four on an oil rig!) & walking 10-15K steps daily. Along with my usual back exercise has done the job & now I am back to a BMI of 23. Started rowing again on the Concept to, in anticipation of my fishing holiday next week. I'll be clocking up the miles rowing up & down the loch's in the wind. Hopefully borrowing an electric outboard but sure that's run flat before the end of the day.

I don't know that much about oil rigs, but I would have thought the helicopter was safer and quicker, the fitness benefits of the row notwithstanding...
What BMI? I say everything in moderation eat drink and be merry. I?d rather go out knowing I?d enjoyed myself than living till 90odd wishing I?d done this or tried that. Life is to short relish every minute of one you?ve got. Enjoy good food, wine and cigars and not forgetting the odd single malt and share it with people you care for and fuck everyone else.
