... How awesome this forum is? I spent a few days on the largest German language cigar forum recently and you wouldn't belive the hostility people bring towards each other.

The problem is that there are no moderators...

I just felt like saying that we cannot appreciate enough how awesome this forum is. The camaraderie and friendliness I have seen here is rare these days on the Internet.

i have never seen a mod have to step into a thread on any occasion. I have been on a few forums over the years and there is always someone, or a section that just sparks grief. Never on hear i just get jealous of all the boxes

I'm glad to be on here as well. Quiet a few chaps that I have come to like on UKFC.

I looked a little into the German forums a few years ago, not for me. Not to mention that I haven't written much German in the last 3 decades except for a few postcards and messages to my Mom and I kinda forgot how to write German properly.

A few years ago [MENTION=1]Deano[/MENTION] had to sort out some unpleasantness on here which resulted in most of those concerned taking off and setting up their own forum where they could still be unpleasant to people. Since then this has tended to be the happy place with just the occasional hiccup.

Yes this is a great forum of comaraderie where I feel amongst like-minded friends - not yet met any of you in person, but hopefully at some point this year we can change that. Of all the forums, I have been a part of over the years, this one is the best, just ticks along nicely - all by itself - a pleasure to be part of UKCF

I wholeheartedly agree with everything that has been said - this really is a fantastic forum, where friendships are made and the joy of smoking cigars/pipes are explored!
I never understand why people would bother wasting their energy getting their knickers in a twist on an online platform - may as well scream into a hurricane !!
