Indeed, it?s the o my way to do it!

Usually camp at the private Speedchills campsite at Beausejour as it?s got lots of warm, clean showers, clean toilets, marquee and bar.

Really good value actually and while we went ?catered? last time, we?ve got enough people to pull off the ?seasoned pro? setup with fridges, bbq?s etc so that?s the plan for next time.

Outside of the secure campsite is like a war zone though, 2 bogs and 20,000 people setting stuff on fire and blowing things up!

Call me a snob but I like to know my stuff is still going to be there after a day at the track!

I am also a snob/glamper. We go to Beausejour. Village on the curves who partner up with Porsche owners club GB. Facilities are superb. Track side viewing from their own campsite/compound. You can spend the whole weekend in that wee area, but where is the fun in that?!

I am jealous of the regulars with their full set ups. We take crisps and beer and end up spending ??? on the "in-house" catering.

I'm desperate to do Mulsanne at night but dont fancy getting a French baton shoved up my....

We met some lads who were staying there last time out. We thought about that last year.....through the woods in full camo the way to go apparently!

We used to Speedchills, starting off with the first year they started! That's a long time ago now.

Morse - now that's a lost art. Back in the 80s I had to learn it. Recently came across a training cassette tape (what that?!) in the garage - 14 wpm 'plus noise' (interference etc). What rate do serious aficionados manage these days?

Most contacts take place at about 18wpm. A lot go up to 25, some up to 30 - 35 but most stick to 18 as I say.

Did the 24hr lots of times in the noughties pre kids, with my Lotus club mates. Managed to sneak next to the track on the Mulsanne straight. Absolutely awesome being feet away from cars doing 200mph.
Will go back again but not sure if I'll camp again. I believe it's not the same now as it was all gathered round the island with cars drifting round.
Shame they were great trips.

Motorbiking, mountain biking, climbing (indoor bouldering mostly), used to like wristwatches but sold all but one, still run a watch forum, golf occasionally, and badly. I have a ?300 telescope that I've used twice to look at the moon then the novelty wore off.

For me - music Collecting some vinyl and playing occasionally when I get one of the basses out but that seems to rarely happen these days.

Travel, any chance to go anywhere interesting I'm straight out the country.
Very much a gym goer and spend too much time there according to the other half!

I bought a few knives then was about to buy a Chris reeve sebenza and thought 'this is ridiculous money' so got out of it.
