If I calculate it and write it down, it may fall in the wrong hands, even knowing it may play against me, so I don't know.
But much less than what I used to 3 years ago when I was living in Spain.

MLW is happy that my spend on cigars is so modest .... probably just as reasonable as her spend on clothes / shoes / handbags etc

We?re not naive, just wise enough not to ask too many questions of each other !

Unlike our colonial cousins we British apparently don't like to talk about how much money we earn, I guess that probably extends to how much we spend too.

No, I would say my spend is within my means, if I don't have the spare cash I don't buy. Like most non essentials I get if I can justify the cost at the time and I've got the money, then bugger it!

From 2004 to 2014, I avged ?1,000 pa but since then it's increased in a scary way, I guess it reflects when I finished paying off the mortgage. I have always paid cash & haven't over spent what I could afford ) of course that's my opinion, not my wife's but compared with the amount I smoke, I guess it's hard to justiify tying up so much money into this investment but my idea at the begining, was to ensure I had sufficient to mean I could continue to smoke during my retirement. If I don't increase my weekly rate too much after I retire, I should be fine until 90yo!

It's all about what you like isn't it? That makes it worth the money. I spend most of my non-essential income on holidays. And the ducati service I've got booked for tomorrow won't be cheap :-(

Exactly. Im pretty frugal when it comes to everything else. Always put away 500 a month into the savings. Eat out occasionally. Only 1 holiday a year. Dont really go out drinking any more. This is how i justify it all haha.
In the last 6 months including the new humidor i must have dropped 2.5k
