As is well known: 'The product's classification as a cake or biscuit was part of a VAT tribunal in 1991, with the court finding in McVitie's favour that the Jaffa Cake should be considered a cake for tax purposes'.
So, my attempt to have hobnobs struck off on legal grounds failed (although I can't understand why); but there are still moral grounds - as the Good Book says, 'hobnobs are but degenerate, lumpy, adulterated pastiches of that purest of biscuits,THE CHOCOLATE DIGESTIVE! They are false idols who, like their consumers, will end in the great fiery bake oven that is HELL!' (Bit strong? Ed.)
