  • The Global UKCF.

    I first signed up to the UKCF in the first part of this year about Feb 2009. I did not quite know what to expect, but what a great place to be. I have made friends all over the world, the joys of modern communications, some friends I have meet on the London Cigar Walk HERF, what a fantastic day, some just live down the road who I would never have known existed with out the forum and we now meet on a quite regular basis which from a personal point of view is something I look forward too, thanks Bryan.

    Despite being unable to meet people in person the growing friendships that blossom by internet, post, & telephone amaze me, after a long lead in I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank gss1956 (Mike) for a our friendship. Mike requested a friendship PM just after he came to the forum, since that day he surely has become my BOTL in the United States of Amercia. Mike and myself have many things in common including his seemingly unending thread posting of scantily clad beauty's LMAO.

    I am sure that other members have ongoing online friendships, if you do then you will understand what I am writing about.

    Yep, I know TJ it's all a bit weepie (but we have meet and the chances of ever meeting again are slim but you are my friend amigo) but hey where would we be without friends? If I won the Lottery tonight one of the first things I would do after paying the mortgage off, would be to go visit the Gman in USA, PA, followed by all the other USA / Mexico BOTL what a tour that would be.

    There have been many good things said about the UKCF and I totally agree with them all, but to sum the forum up for myself;

    The humidors,research, collecting, purchasing and smoking of fine cigars is only a fraction of the reason why I just love being part of this forum, it is the people who make this site the place to be and the life long friendships we make along the way, maybe I have won the lottery after all LOL.

    It has been said before thank you Dean see you soon.

    G man thank you for the intensily personal picture of the Cohiba over the White Cliffs of Dover. It is being framed as I write the photo does not do the original justice.

    I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
    Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
    Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
    Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

                          Beautifully put. This is the first forum where I've gone over about 200 posts without getting bored or disenchanted. Nice place this Deano.

                            Good post Stogiedog.

                            Met with other members of the forum for the fist time today - very international bunch! One had a bit of a Brummie accent going, t'other was a Caerphilly chap - all met in a far and distant foreign land, a place called Walesia...
