No tats here. Had a training Sgt when i joined the Army in the late 80's. He was a bit plump and had the word EMPTY tattoed on his stomach, but it was all stretched and faded and looked awful. And that 1 instsnt put me off them for life. Loads of blokes I served with had them.
A favourite in the 80's and 90's was to have a triangle on you upper arm with the words BLOOD GROUP A POS, with each word being on a side. Trouble was, they ignored what ever group you were and pumped O pos into you as IIRC that goes with all blood groups.

And a sentiment I embrace - along the same lines as "This too shall pass".
For me, I only have one - The kanji for giri - short meaning is loyalty to family. Means a lot to me

i know very few people that dont have at least one tat. ive always fancied one but have not a single dot - even om my knuckles
im 45, live in Ireland and left Scotland when 21. im sorely tempted to get one for Scotland, i promised after the referendum i would return and get inked but that never went the way my heart wanted. wont lie - i may not have and was just caught up in the romance!
it would have to mean something for me to get one - wife, kids etc - still not 100% i like them that much lol

sorry, its an idea for a tat but a joke - like terrier and shortbread
"up yer kilt" is like saying "cheers" but can also be a kind of semi insult - said in jest to anyone north of lowland Scotland. so unless your from the Highlands - dont take as aggression and in that, its not in aggression - its a bumper sticker
