I'm interested to know how many members here have tattoos... and are any stogie related?!

I have tattoos and I was going to have a cigar related cover up on one but MLW and I couldn't decide on it. I had a great picture of a woman in a fedora smoking a cigar proposed but she didn't want me to have a real woman pictured on my arm. In the end I just left the original untouched and saved myself a lot of money.

I had one small tattoo until turning 32 this year, when I have decided to get some pieces that I have been wanting for a while. I wear a suit and tie at least 6 days a week, so everything has to be covered, but I currently have two half sleeves (one tribal forearm and one japanese forearm that will become a full sleeve by the end of the year) and a chest piece (aztec wings) in addition to the original small one. Again, nothing tobacco related, but some pics attached (arms only... I figured you could probably live without seeing my chest)

I have always had an academic interest from Naval history ( Royal Naval Hospital Haslar had a museum of preserved skins, donated from old sailors) & medical complications (did you know getting syphillis from infected needles was quite common & still occurred in my time?), in tatt's but managed to avoid getting one.
My unsolicitated advice would be if thinking of getting one, have it put on a T shirt first & wear it constantly for a year, get tired of it, then forget it & use the tee to clean your car.
Secondly, follow the ancient Japanese code of not tattooing below the wrist or on the neck or head so you can put on a shirt & get any job & then you can go home, take it off & be who you want to be.

I have a quote by the Roman poet Horace on my left arm. I thought about it for many years and had it done in 2010. Have never regretted it, but it is usually hidden underneath a shirt or polo, so not many people get to see it.

I have XIII on the front of my shoulder around my collar bone.... Its a number that pops up a lot in my life ... Actuals not constructed and with positive outcomes, albeit not without drama! I'm not going to bore withnthe details as would be dull and/or trivial to anyone else outside my immediate family.

having a consultation for a bigger more adventurous piece a week tomorrow! This one will be centred around oak leaves. So, no stogies.

It is Omnes una manet nox, meaning the same night awaits us all. Written in Latin.
