  • Are these Cigar's still worth anything?

    Greetings all,

I was in Havana in 2007 and bought a box of Montecristo No3 (a box of ten) The date stamp on the back is Sep05 and a small box of Montecristo 3 petit tubos

They have sat on a shelve in my study un-opened ever since. I am moving to Australia next month so cannot take them with me.

Are they worth selling? if not I can give them to friends but I would like them to go to a good home

If you haven't kept them in a humidor with controlled temperature and humidity then I'm afraid they will be ruined and now worthless. Shame really

If not, then you could probably offload these for UK prices-ish - see the forum sponsor for examples

That is a real shame because these ones actually look genuine.

Properly kept these could be worth ?100-150 easily. As they are though, probably dry and tasteless someone may gamble ?20 on them but not on here.

            One Post Wonder!

Wow! They must be well aged!

One question - why can't you take 'em to Australia? Don't they smoke puros there? (Okay...that's two questions.)

            Have at lads!

Chances are they will be in a poor condition but you never know. The tubos might be okay? Have you checked them?
Are they bone dry with damaged looking wrappers? Maybe post some pictures of the actual cigars.

As above tubos might just be ok.. the others will be good for fire lighters.

Ok thanks all for the confirmation, I will give them to a mate who smokes cigars.

Australia have very strict regulations on what you cannot bring into the country and even make you cleanse your shoes before you enter. With a wife and two tired kids its not worth the hassle of bringing them, then getting a bag search at customs.

                  Thanks All
