A couple of years ago I got a bit fed up with Gillette 'The best a man can get' razors and squirty shaving foam from a can, let alone the razor burn and spots.
I remember my uncle having an old spice shaving bowl, brush and DE razor. I didn't realise you could still get them. So I started out on a quest and found that you can still shave they way your Grampa did or your uncle for that matter.
So now I use a proper shaving brush, and soap or shaving cream and DE or SE Razor. Two passes every two days is ample to keep the shadow at bay and I very rarely go against the grain. Alum block and some moisturiser to finish and the that's me done. No more razor burn or spot, yes I still get little nicks now and again but what a difference it made to my grooming routine.
Do you Shave like your Grampa or Uncle?
