As some of you know, I fly power kites and buggy with them

Some people fly power kites and board with them, like this
They get pulled along, with some of the more accomplished doing stuff like this
Well, yesterday, I was out at a field we use and one of the boarders came walking over saying " I need an ambulance", holding his neck. He had a bit of blood around his mouth and it seemed he taken a tumble.
However, what had happened was that he had fallen off his board, and the bar that you can see they use for control, had stuck in the ground end on, and he had impaled his neck on the end of it He had a inch, or so, farkin hole just above his collarbone.
Anyhow, the paramedics came within ten minutes, followed sharply by the Air Ambulance guys who'd heard the call and were in the area coincidently. The guy was obviously very shaken, but remained tended to until service got there and we hear he went into surgery today for some repairs to muscle damaged where the trauma had occured.
Great response by all the lads present and respect to the Paramedics/Air ambulance guys for a speedy call out.
