Agree and smart move. But "believe me," that speech was nothing like those at his rallies, where he told people to "F*ck off," "I'd bomb the shi*t out of them," and "knock the crap out of 'em" (referring to a protester). He also called the journalist covering his rallies as "dishonest liers" to loud chants of "Lock her up - Lock her up!."

similar to the Brexit vote, we are now learning that many who voted for trump were "low information" and/or "misinformed" voters...especially when it comes to trade.

But we'll let the yanks deal with it and prey for the best.

Being somewhat familiar with my beloved Mexico, I can say not many white illegal immigrants crossing the boarder. But not all immigrants cross into the US on the southern boarder - Just ask that buttersquashpie fellow.

Fun Fact - The next first lady broke immigration laws when she fist came to the USA. And the last time I looked, she is quite white...but no one's calling her a drug dealer or rapist, now are they.

Among other questionable practices and policies, he wants to bring back torture, such as water-boarding and beyond, in violation of international law. He wants to do away with certain laws so he can sue/jail journalist who criticize or disagree with him. He has threatened to lock up his political opponents (sound familiar?). He says the democratic system is rigged, unless he wins. He brags that he can assault women and get away with it because he's rich and famous....or as he says, [I]"they don't mind."

1: As opposed to just doing water boarding on the side, behind closed doors as the US has previously been proved to have done?

2: Like they have effectively been doing to Assange?

3: Because she likely deserves being locked up?

4: when has womanising ever stopped an American president before? Wasnt JFK banging a mobsters broad?

Oh and Hillary [Allegedly] laughing about getting a child rapist off his charge despite knowing he was guilty, is so much better than what trump has said and is alleged to have done.

To me it just shows just under half of the population thinks nothing will change no matter who's in charge...

It's also strange how the voting system works over there... majority vote for Clinton...well just but no way near close enough of votes for the white house.

No different from over hear. In the UK the party with the most seats forms a government, irrelevant what the overall percentage vote is. In the U S whoever has the most electoral college votes gets to be president. Fair or not it's the democratic system used in the respective countries.

Okay, I probably watch more americano cable tv than most on this forum (I gotta' lot free time hanging around the hacienda). So if by biased you mean millions and millions of dollars in free TV time, than right you are. He received far more TV coverage than all the other candidates combined. The cable networks couldn't resist taking his live call-ins and giving him wall-to-wall coverage with little to no fact checking, which is how he gained so much support from the uninformed masses. All in the name of ratings.

And the only person doing the baseless insulting was trump, not the media, who loved the ratings he brought and wouldn't dare offend the thin-skinned candidate.

Agree or disagree....it makes no nevermind to me.

Fact Check: Hillary did not laugh about getting a rapist off. On the tape, she can be heard to chuckle, not about knowing the rappist was guilty or getting him off, but about never trusting a polygraph test again after observing her client passing the test. She said it forever destroyed her faith in that technology.

Regarding trumps alleged assaults, over twelve women have come forward to accuse trump of sexual assault (many more were afraid to speak out publicly) Several with collaborating evidence/wittnesses who were told about the assults at the time they occurred. You can decide if they are lying or not.
