I was just searching Waitrose website and to my shock i've just come across some Cohiba, RyJ, Monte, Punch...

Quite a strange place to find cuban cigars

who would have thought that!!! Got check out my Local waitrose and see if they are B&M lol

Many supermarkets do carry tubos, not usually cohiba ones but a punch coronation or monte petit tubo are common enough.

I've seen them at a couple of waitrose near me, but never bought anything as I don't know how long they've been lying there. They are in the bottom of the tobacco cabinet at the quick checkout. If you try any let me know what you think of them.

I've seen that too and was tempted to visit my local Waitrose, but after a bit of research here on the forum I pased on that. Many who bought cigars from supermarkets were complaining about damages/dryness/broken seals etc. Can't blame anybody to be honest. IMHO it is better to pay a little more and go to reputable shop which stores them as they should be stored, or buy online.

But, if you go for it, keep us updated .

I will do...Doubt ill pay the ?35 they are asking for the Siglo vi...but will take a looking when I get to my local shop

I bought a Punch Coronation(s) not so long ago from Waitrose. I did rest it "top off" in my humidor for a few weeks, but it turned out perfectly smokeable and pretty tasty. I'm not much good at picking out subtleties, but I'm definitely going with "almonds" for the latter half.

My local supermarket used to sell Cuban cigars in tubes only 1 brand the RYJ in with the tobacco etc asked to see one
dry as a bone.

I have. In the past had some punch coronations from ASDA of all places (big stores). Always in tubes. Never bad but a little dry perhaps so perhaps had been opend before, not resealed correcty. Ok for a quick fix but not ideal.

I reckon that an online purchase might not be too bad, but the ones in store have always been dry, in my view.
