Who's the most interesting or unusual person you've met through smoking cigars, or the most interesting or unusual person you got to know better through smoking cigars.
Probably the most left field person I can start this thread off with is a chap called ?rico de Sousa Cardoso (had to check his business card for that!) I was out with a load of other officer cadets during sea training with the RN, and our home for a couple of months (HMS Bulwark) stopped off in Cherbourg for the weekend. We got the train to Paris instead and during one 'interesting' night we had a couple of cigars, and whilst smoking somewhere near the Cath?drale Notre Dame de Paris we got talking to this guy who was giving a cigar a go... after much talking, and after the next night club (having in the meantime been joined by a Singaporean business man and an odd, but fun Parisien) it transpired that our new friend ?rico was a finance minister for the Brazilian Ministry of Mining and Energy.
