I think people also don't give enough credit to the fact that a significant part of why we've had one of the fastest growing economies over the last few years is due to immigrant labour. Who else is going to wait on tables? Wash dishes? Clean your houses? Do your building work? British people won't do those jobs at current pay levels but if you want them to, you'll have to pay more for everything. Oh, you don't want that either....

As it is all our imports will cost a lot more after what happened to GBP. Expect supermarket prices to rise over the next few weeks and the inflation that comes with that. A recession is all but guaranteed as jobs are shed, investment plans shelved and the economy shrinks.

Im not all that woried about living costs rising, im more botheres by forced debt, mass unemployment in poor southern europe as the north conveniently gets richer and the humanitarian atrocities a bickering EU contributed to rather than helped to sort.

I am however bothered by the high cost of house ownership and my childrens prospects on increased competition for those homes, and of the loss of what green land we have left in this small country as we try our damdest to build everywhere to try and keep up.

At this rate I'm going to declare my flat an independent nation and start my own negotiations with the E.U.

I'm very disappointed with the result, I'm angered at the sway the media had on people rather than the real facts. The country was on the up and reducing the deficit, there was no need to cause this utter chaos that we have now. The choice we have for the next election is absolutely awful if either Tristam Hunt or Chuka Umunna doesn't somehow become labour leader. Lid Dems all the way for me now!

In all seriousness, if the Lib Dems play this right they could claw back some of their losses at the General Election, they have already declared that they will fight to stay in the EU at the next election; which I think the two major parties will struggle to do so they could take some votes there.

The issue with the Lib Dems is that they are loosing their place in politics, so this could be a good chance to establish themselves again, if their leadership can take advantage (which is a big if)

The deficit has not been reduced one bit, before the brexit vote it was getting worse, now its anyone's guess although this chaos will quickly calm down and for most people brexit will be a non-event I think...... (meaning we stay in single market, accept all EU rules including free movement of peoples just so London can trade freely but we get to say we arent in the EU..)

This is the downside the leave campaign never really answered... if we do get a good deal with the EU...we will still have to pay a lot of money to the EU for this membership and have no voice in any matters.

There's no way I'm voting Tory or Labour at the next election atm, I'm a Labour guy normally but at this rate I'd rather go for a party with sense than vote for a mad toff or a radicalist.

I agree with Sheppsea there, if they have a stronger leader they could gain a lot more votes I reckon. The public are stuck between a rock and a hard place atm with the options we have, Scotland after devolution seems a nice option I'm thinking...

How will it be a non event when petrol and food prices will start rising over the next few weeks? Any major investment plans firms had will be shelved until there's clarity on what the future state looks like, and as we know that will take at least 1-2 years. A recession is all but guaranteed. And how is it a good thing where we end up with the status quo but without any say over the rules?

Am I mistaken...isn't the referendum just a decision on what the public would like..does another vote still need to go through Westminster? Or have I miss read certain articles?
