Hi
I want to first apologise for this not strictly cigar related post and hope I am not interloping on your fine forum.
I recently bought an ornate shell box from a local bric-a-brac store which is seemingly fashioned from an old cigar box. The box looks pretty old and bears the mark 'hecho en cuba' which I gather means made in Cuba. There are also feint marks underneath this which seem to read something like 'Coldrado'. There is another inscription beneath this one that is almost entirely illegible. Please see attached photos.
I was wondering if anyone on this forum could shed any light on the marks and hazard a guess as to when the box was made?
Apologies for the photo quality as I have a vintage phone as well as box.
Regards
