  • So cruel

I've just read an interview with Billy Connolly who was diagnosed with prostate cancer and Parkinson's in the same week. One of the things he can't do is smoke cigars anymore as they make him dizzy and nauseous. Just when he needs to relax his body robbed him of one of the ways he could do it.

I have smoked a cigar with him on a couple of occasions at Fox's. I was enjoying a cigar myself, when he just entered the shop and bought some cigars and settled down to enjoy smoking one. He was most sociable, happy to chat and he had so many great stories to tell.
I wish him all the best.

Great story! You lucky chap- i'd love to meet him and shoot the breeze. I've met a few 'names' when the cameras are out of sight, and they are enjoying some normal life... Its always nice to find that some of them remember that they too put one sock on at a time and can take time to enjoy a shared passion, pastime or interest with a fellow BOTL... Human... Etc...
