Here's a question, and apologies if it has been asked before. How long should one wait after having a filling or other dental work carried out, before having a cigar once again?

At least until the wound is healed over Nick, you have to avoid the risk of the smoke drying it out.

It's only a filling. It just feels like I've gone a few rounds with Mike Tyson. Anaesthetic wearing off now thank goodness!

Yes and hopefully having the cigar will take your mind off the nuisance of the discomfort.

You actually took the cigar out long enough to let the dentist in?

            Lol

Was puffing on my pipe as soon as I left the dentist after having a filling.

Just asked my dentist (she's sitting on the couch next to me), who says as long as there is no open wound and the anesthetic has worn off, it's fine

Ask the dentist for a light as you are leaving

I would say when you can purse your lips (once anaesthetics worn off)

I held off yesterday. However, as it's totally miserable outside, I may have a lazy pipe and cigar day...
