Some of you will know, most probably won't, that my six year old daughter has a genetic condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
It's shit for her, to say the least, but despite this she's happy, loving and joyful.
She's amazing.
But she can't walk and will never be able to.
It's a progressive condition and things will steadily deteriorate until. . . .
She needs a powered chair to get around and enjoy a quality of life similar to her peers. That's just one piece of the equipment puzzle and there are many more.
This is her showing off:

Which is amazing cos kids with SMA shouldn't be able to do that!
The help we need is to raise money for a new chair, as this one is coming to the end of its life.
No support is available from the NHS.
We need to raise ?23,142 to order her a new chair.
There are three ways you can help
1.) Donate some money
2.) Raise some money for her using friends/family/work
3.) Both!
I tapped up all of my friends and family 5 years ago for the last chair and the coffers are dry. I've done sponsored Half Iron Man races and Iron Man to raise money before, but there's just too much 'gift fatigue' amongst them.
So I need new peeps to join in and help.
Anything you can do would be amazing to help keep her moving. Especially if that involves fundraising by you in the groups and social circles you know - the more people we can reach, the easier it will be to raise the money.
We have a website
www.getbeatricemobile.org
a facebook page
www.facebook.com/getbeatricemobile
and a current fundraising page
https://www.justgiving.com/getbeatricemobile/
100% of the money donated to that page goes to her wheelchair and if we raise more, new equipment for Beatrice.
I'm also thinking of starting a gofundme page.
If anyone has any questions at all, give me a shout.
Thanks in advance. I'm not used to asking for help.
