Good game, italy deserved the win. Canada should/ could have locked them out a few times. All about big match experience!

The Canucks played a very fast high tempo game that led to some careless mistakes, if the tighten up a little they could be a force to be reckoned with.

Its how they have always played.... Buckets of enthusiasm, which needs moderating with better strategy, but bit by bit they are getting there.

What can I say, well done Wales. We should have gone for the 3 points with the last penalty instead of kicking for the lineout. But it's easy to talk from the couch!

Agreed, easy from the couch - but a draw would have been more desirable for us than the Welsh... Robshaw is developing a bit of a track record for bodged penalty calls late in the game. Fair play to Wales though, they did what was needed. I think England really missed Vunipola when he went off (and I say that as a Morgan advocate...)

The 7 sub impact was woeful. Says something to bring on a hooker worse than youngs... Simply became disjointed and lacking in focus, which gifted a try... 1winger out of place ( he's intensely talented but defensively highly suspect)giving a bus sized gap to exploit.... Then we lacked the conviction / discipline to attempt to level the scores, and go for another score.

Yes, that Welsh push out at the last line up should have managed a lot better by England. An opportunity very well missed

I didn't understood the mass sub policy, all it did was weaken the unit and aid them to loose focus.

It's very frustrating to watch a team go through that process. England fought well, we're winning the game on merit and then... What happens? And that kick at the end I mean, surely Rob Shaw saw the pool table? A draw for us is miles better than a loss? And I had ?5 on a draw at 25/1

I don't understand the negative attitude towards robshaws decision. He made a call, it didn't work, if went for the posts and Farrell misses, we're in the same situation. It's the world cup, I thought it was a brave decision.

Fair comment... it worked for the Japanese after all!

Japanese had nothing to loose. For them a roll of the dice was a lottery and their number came up. We are a top tier team anpd fractions of chances make big differences. Play to give yourself options. It was a bold and decisive call, but it remains forever to now be a bad call.

Penalty kicks can be chased. For all of the percentages it should have been the play to level the score and play again. There is the reason it was a duff call.

Spot on - decisive games in World Cups when quarter finals are on the line is not the time for a brave call, it's the time for a percentage call. With Wales' woeful record against Australia and our opportunity to play Uruguay at their weakest, the draw would have been as good as a win for us, if not as satisfying.
