I had no plans for it , i let my mate take it with a piece of wild comb that we originally were going to wire into a frame but decided against , he was going to let it strain naturally .

Our local bee assoc tend to let their bees clean it up, then melt it down, mould it and sell it. I always pick up a little ingot of wax.... Perfect for greasing drawers etc...

I dont have them yet..., but have done a short course, and will do a longer one in later winter/ spring, and hopefully go for it .... Love this stuff, your honey looks great! Well done on happy calm bees! If i was amazed by anything it was by how disinterested the hive are when we did inspections!

left the bees with all the wild comb , some frames of honey not yet capped with wax and all the brood chamber , this will be more than enough to get them thro the Winter

                had a fantastic day
                Excellent job by all there

very more ish we thought , the finish was quite short and then you wanted to taste more

obviously i had no control of how it would taste , just with my location i hoped for something good

have to say im delighted with it

That honey looks the business, I can't wait until my colleagues is ready. Last year it was heather honey and it was really nice, I managed to scrounge half a jar from him, hopefully I'll get a full jar this year as I have given him a few sticks as well as a couple of bottles of home brew. Really looking forward to it.

Looks marvellous. I use those same jars for my homemade chilli jam - great value!

That is outstanding and such dedication! My grandfather was a bee keeper and so was his... I don't have such an affinity, I've only ever been stung!
