  • Some sad news

I know I've not been on here recently but I felt that some of you would want to know the following.

Gents, it is sad duty to inform you all of the death of Dave aka Jibjob79. Dave had been suffering with persistent headaches and liver problems for the past 18 months. He had not been an active member for some time but many of you here will remember what a fun and great guy he was. He passed by taking his own life at home yesterday. Our friend JPmoore went round to find Dave had left a note.

I would like you to all raise a stick in his memory as he was a great guy and Jon and I will miss him more than words can say. Hopefully he is at peace now and no longer suffering.

Long live he in our memory of brothers of the leaf.

What sad news indeed. I shall indeed pause for a few thoughts next time I light up.

Although being very new to to forum I would like to pass on my deepest sympathy.
Death is almost always a sad time, but when the person chooses to take their own life I can only think about what they might have been going through.

My sympathy goes out to all those close and affected by this, and I too will pause and have a think about this young mans past troubles. R.I.P.

Thank you for letting us know about Dave. I'm very sorry to hear this sad news. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

A sobering post and one which may serve to illustrate the potential fragility of us all.

            Rest in Peace jibjob79.

Really sad news, like a lot of others here never had the opportunity to meet the man, but my thoughts are with his friends and family at this sad time.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

Smoked a P2 in his memory. One of his favourite cigars.
