    He did offer to teach me how to smoke a pipe at one point. Being that he was born in the late 1800's he didn't see any problem offering this to a nine year old. Obviously nowadays it would be a major crime against humanity, but after reminding him of my age he just shrugged and said well I can take that as a no then. But it did smell great when I walked into the house and he was smoking this stuff. Thanks for posting.
    Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

        What a lovely thing. My Dad has one of Granda's pipes, unsmoked, packed safely away in the loft. Same loft has a brand new set of Grandad's cut throat razor's Mum's kept pristine and packaged. One day they're going to be family heirlooms at this rate.
