Surely smoking lounges will need to be made available.

Not on beaches.... But just in general.

Why? They don't want us to smoke.

Wait and see it's only a matter of time, no smoking in pub gardens.
        No smoking outside costa's.

I really only smoke at home too, but there are plenty of beaches where I stay with no one to bother you. Mind you we rarely get the best beach weather here anyway
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

wait another few weeks and there won't be a soul on any beach, same as the outdoor smoking areas in pubs , which get taken over by non smokers in hot weather

In Morocco a couple of years ago i could smoke anywhere in the hotel , then it was the bar only , now its outside only

wont be long before , not on the hotel grounds

part of my holiday is the relaxation around the pool , few bevvies , good book and a nice cigar

ive never had complaints but we are a minority .... i expect change

Morocco in January so we,l see !

Sounds a bit like what I said.

Could be looking at another ban.

Funny there are parts of Brighton beach you can expose everything, I suppose there worried about burning delicate parts.

Nice comment from Sandra Platell in the Mail today. Commenting on the proposed smoking ban she said that the last time she went to Brighton there was so many roly polys on the beach that they'd be better off banning ice cream and burger vans.

Well guess what I heard on the radio.

The public smoking ban should be extended to beer gardens, al fresco eating areas of restaurants, parks, and outside school gates, a report says.
