Trusting Your Co-Worker

I was given a new to me but experienced colleague to work with the other day, not long after the start of our shift we had an urgent call to attend. I had never been in a car with him before so did not know what to expect as we began our journey. I didn't have to worry as he made good safe progress. I started the VASCAR as we moved off and stopped it when we got to our destination.

Not a bad average with a highest speed of 157mph, BMW 330d Tourer is not a bad performer.

A nice little kick start to your day Roy ! Gotta love the 330 d, a great engine. 335d is an absolute beast, twin turbos are definitely the way to go.

It was a very nice surprise our usual fleet is either 530d Saloon or an A4 Avant 3.0 Quattro, the 3 was like a missile in comparison, it was an X Drive with sport and it really did shift.

I've never been that fast! Tried on the autobahn once and got not far off, but that's scary enough, let alone on our roads! Glad you felt comfortable though, that's really impressive

Cheers [emoji106] Good training and good equipment make it a bit easier, but yes our roads do sometimes leave a lot to be desired.

Autobahn would be a real test of nerves.

It was all good fun (well I actually surpassed fun to push myself, it's weird going extremely fast, everything seems slower and smoother, and you only seem to focus on miles away as well as being terrified of someone pulling out in front of you) until I came across an Audi being literally hosed down, those days are passed now though, not worth it.

I do like driving and accelerating (to about the speed limit) as fast as I can, that's about my fun nowadays.

It would be really interesting I think driving with someone highly trained next to me to see if I'm as good a driver as I feel.

Some years ago an ex-business partner & I both had M5's and together we drove his to the N?rburgring which was a fantastic trip and a great experience with plenty of speed involved as you can imagine!
