That's why I don't do as much walked up / rough shooting as I would like to.
I managed a couple of days last season and thoroughly enjoyed them both in very good company.

Now... en-route to London for one of my other hobbies, a day of wine-tasting with the good folk at Decanter.

You sound like a good man to know! Hope it was something flinty and cool today.... And not super tuscans.... Iwas in the smoke today 36 degrees above ground... Lord knows what on the tube!

Sounds very promising I'd love to give my guns an airing with good company.

It was really rather surreal - it was the only time I've ever felt like I was escaping the heat on the tube! Though I did make a point of going the long way around on the Circle Line's nice new trains - lord knows what it would have been like if I'd cut across the corner on the Bakerloo line!!!

The tasting had a bit of everything (99 wines) - though did find myself drifting away from the Italian reds, haha. There was a surprisingly nice white wine from Japan of all places - hit the spot nicely.

I am big into curing meat and BBQ at the moment... I took the hygrometer and thermometer out of one the humis last week and began placing it in various points to decide where i had 17c and 75% but yes, coppas and parmas and some other treats on the way...

BBQ wise, water smoking in my PRO Q and cold smoking salmon (which has been torture) or anything else I can get my mits on!

And smoking cigars, in my mouth... obviously!!
