  • Every Day Carry (EDC)

Hi guys, I recently heard this term used on another board and it got a bit of discussion going and some interesting posts.

What do you take with you every day? It seems I travel pretty light, I dont use a bag and keep my keys to a minimum, warrant card holder is a must along with a coin purse. My phone like most is probably the one thing I couldn't do without.

if you have a minute please share what you have as an EDC.

    Cheers.

Much like Wigan. Without the weekend tubo....I like that as an idea. Think I might start making that part of my EDC. It's a term I've come across before to be fair bit in the bushcraft/preppers community. Those guys carry a lot for every day: just in case.

If I'm going "out" proper then a hanky is part of the plan, but yes pretty standard phone etc otherwise.

I have heard the term to also refer to a Firearm, not in my case but there seems to be a lot of talk about what is best.

I have heard that but only as an American term.

Also surprised to hear other people carry a hanky. I am not referring to a decorative item. I actually use it as intended.

Yes indeed, I quite often get a funny look when I take mine out [emoji6] seems to be a bit 'old school'

i've also heard it in the context of a firearm... an every day carry... i.e. the sidearm of choice that is discrete, highly reliable and effective in 'everyday' circumstances!!!

Gladly my every day needs are met rather more simply. I'm with Wigan... wont go anywhere without a proper hanky. A phenomenal bit of versatile kit, which is also helpful in blowing a nose! Other than that its a debit card, a visa card and an amex...

Phone and Wallet. Keys if I'm driving.

As as the great Bill Burr says.... I challenge ANYONE to go out without their wallet, phone or any form of ID and NOT go into a full blown panic attack the second their house is out of view!! Haha

Firmly in the wallet, keys and phone dept. I'm fairly good at leaving the phone when the mood takes me. One thing I can really do without !
