Arabian Oud

Hi chaps. I've tried a couple of the cheap synthetic Oud scents and although one was pretty OK I'm looking to get the real thing now. I'm buying a sampler from a guy on eBay to help me decide which to go for. Given they range between ?100 and ?500 for 3ml I thought I would ask here for advice first. I like the Ambergris/Woody/Musk type scents but the ones I've tried on the cheap end are all rose and violet heavy which does nothing for me.
So, who has advice?

I asked the dealer to send me a sample of some of the Oud's that fit my likes. They're not cheap but none got above ?199. If anyone shows any interest in this thread I'll happily share my findings.

Im not an expert on this but Id be pretty wary of ebay sellers claiming that they're selling the genuine product which is effectively a high end product which can be faked (at least for appearance sake) easily.

Get a tester of Encre Noir, no need to spend that much cash IMO, in fact you'd be better off getting a custom blend if you really fancy spunking a load of cash.
