I would like to say many thanks to the people who sent me birthday bombs, some very nice cigars.

I cannot really put up any pictures as on the Saturday that I flew out, I took a few of the sticks with me to smoke.

The holiday.

It was my birthday on the 11th of April and the wife had bought me a birthday holiday to Crete.

For many years I was a lorry driver and did quite a bit of time driving all over Europe so of late I have avoided having holidays in and around Europe as I have been all over, I tend to go to the Caribbean/Indian ocean. I must say it was one of the best holidays I have ever been on, everything was perfect, no issues, no cock ups, just perfect from start to finish. Only issue was a fat old Scouser that I could not seem to shake off, that claimed to have done everything that I had done but ten times better (you know the sort).

I took with me a good assortment of cigars, around 15, and still ended up buying a few more from a local shop.

Things that I have learned

Manchester airport has a walk in humidor, it is very average and nothing really worth buying!

Heraklion airport in Crete is completely shit and has a very poor duty free shop. My humidor at home had a better selection.

Fat old Scouse men can do everything better than me and have done it ten times over!

I have found a huge appreciation for Bolivars and will buy many many more.

I and my wife absolutely love Nub cafes with a late night coffee, she has demanded that I buy a box as soon as possible.
