  • It's always the way

I thought I'd pop some new discs and pads on the back of the Golf today. Dug the rewind tool out which I thought had disappeared (bonus) and got down to it. OSR was a doddle and the calliper piston retraction was as smooth as could be. NSR and all was well until I found the piston was stuck as a stuck thing. Upon closer inspection, the gaiter was split and had led to seizure. Aaaaaarrrrggghhhh Couldn't get enough clearance for the new pads and discs so have had to put the old ones back on for now. One job leads to another...always the bloody way. What was a straight forward swap over, now turns into more ??,grrr.

Anyone else had a recent 'one job leads to three' frustration!

Yes, recently. Had to fill in 4 holes from a shelf I removed. Filled and sanded the holes. Went to paint over the filler, but found I had no paint the right shade left. So I went to B&Q to find it was discontinued. So I bought a similar shade and do the whole wall. The wife came home and pointed out the shade didn't go with the other wall, so I had to go back and buy a tin of magnolia and redo the whole lot. Two days work, for just four holes. After all that she pointed out I should have just put the shelf back up instead! [emoji35][emoji35]

Why did the walls have to be the same shade?

In the last 7 weeks , I have had two showers and a bath leak . The under floor heating has caused cracks in the floor in kitchen and hallway , Thursday the electric blew and refuses to come back on in 20% of the house . Its an emergency so the sparky will be here Tuesday which is to be fair a full day earlier than the plumbers eventually took . Its a good job the house is only 8 years old or things might start to go wrong with it .

They didn't have to match, they just didn't go together!

I think I was down in Acapulco bay just yesterday. Cute girl winks at me through the bar and I talk to her. One thing leads to another and it's shagging time but only in her room. I show up after a few minutes and it turns out there are 3 of them in the room. Each more gorgeous than the next - all butt naked. I only wanted one!
Don't you hate it when that happens!?

On a serious note, aren't we a cigar forum?
I remember my first humidor. They told me I only really needed a 50ct. 50 turned to 500... Now I have no idea where I am. 1 turns to infinite. Be warned... It's surely a disease.

On further reflection if this run of good fortune continues I am considering setting up a website were people can pay me to predict the next set of lottery numbers .
