At the moment I'll throw into the Paco Rabanne One Million club, very nice. I've also got Davidoff Adventure which is nice but not sure I'll get another. Issy Miyake pour homme was nice too.
My favourite is Sandalwood, at the moment I'm still using Taylors of Old Bond Street but it's nearly done and might try something else. For you purists I use both the aftershave and the cologne. My fianc?e hates it though, too old fashioned for her.
I'd be interested in any recommendations for a woody or spicy cologne/aftershave if anyone can think of anything, a lot of the contemporary stuff is more floral than i like.
This is the current aftershave /cologne shelf in the bathroom.
Funnily enough aftershaves (or lack of) started me on the Cigar Road.
During an intransit visit to Dubai airport somebody had recommended I pick up a bottle of Creeds Irish Tweed, I tried the whole Creed range and didnt like any so I 'blew' the money in Le Casa Del Habanos. I cant remember the full purchase but certainly it included a box of Monti 2's and 3 x Siglo VI.
I recently discovered Aventus by Creed. Eye-wateringly expensive but very nice and distinctive. Definitely recommend as an alternative to some of the sweeter scents. I liked reading the history of the company as well.

Otherwise I like the freshness of aqua di Parma.
If you're a fan of Creed Aventus, do check out Fine Accoutrements - Platinum aftershave. It's extremely similar to Creed Aventus, except it has a better performance then the original, and at a fraction of the price. They've also got another one inspired by AdP Colonia, called Italian Citrus, but that one's been sold out for quite some time.

Will check out fine accoutrements... Adp colonia essenza is my favourite, albeit their blue meditteranean juniper and also almond scents are pretty distinctive and wearable.

Another vote for Taylors of Old Bond Street Sandalwood and I also like Bulgari Pour Homme.
My favourite (and has been for many years now) is Czech & Speake No. 88.
