I love Clarkson and the show, but ultimately the BBC had no other choice in my view. No one person can be bigger than the show or the organisation.

Ultimately it will hopefully be for the best though as I expect he'll have more creative and editorial control at a commercial station than at the beeb.

Guy Martin is a great guy. Something slightly Fred Dibnah about him. I think he's a legend in the making.

Fired Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson says he'll make another car show: 'I've lost my baby but I'll create another'

Sometimes the person is the show. The BBC is big, big on feather-bedding and looking out for the time serving inept or pc elitists .... Clarkson, May and Hammond are pretty unique, grown men who approach whatever they're doing with the abandon of 12 year olds .... controversial yes, but a hard act to follow.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Totally agree. It's like 3 good friends blagging and slagging. Love it.

I'm not sure I think the BBC are overly PC in this case, when you consider he smacked a producer. If someone smacked me at work I'd expect them to be sacked too! (And vice versa!)

People punch each other all the time in my industry.... No joke. If we sacked them all we wouldn't have any left. I'm not saying it's right, but I have never known them not shake hands and get on again after.

If they did get the sack for it, it would soon stop.

I agree Marc same in my industry , if your a wanker and rude to someone you'll be sat on your arse , but sadly the Clarkson affair seems to be very one sided and a clear sign of serious attitude problem , it was the right call sacking him he should of known better

I think he recognised that for himself, it was him who reported the incident apparently. How it's all going to work out for the Producers future might be tricky, blamed as responsible for destroying the format of a multi-million pound value show is not good.
