Jeremy Clarkson is good on top gear but the car world is much bigger that JC, he is old wealthy and ready to be put out to pasture. The older he gets the more stupid stuff he says! He reminds me of Prince Philip "Looks like it was made by a China man" and the like. Get some new blood in I say! look at jodie kidd on that other car show, she isn't bad? You could do with a F1 / WRC driver or something.

Unfortunately I think your right in that people like this will be put out to pasture as you say and its a massive shame IMO. We increasingly live in a world where we are told what kind of free thought and speech is acceptable. People flaunt a right to be offended by anything and everything. When did we become so serious?

I dont envy my kids growing up in this world and if I had to start again as a child today but with the mind I have now.... I think I would give up and just get out as quick as I could.

I think I have kind of revised my position on this.

I am sorry to see what is probably the end of a show I have enjoyed for 12 years but ultimately Clarkson is to blame. It is now beyond dispute that he punched and abused a co-worker for no serious reason. The BBC had no choice but to act and they/we will loose out.

Silly Jeremy ruined it for all of us.
