Dunno, but there's one to keep him On and I Will be signing it. Why do we want to make a move towards sterile corporate robots being the only acceptable thing on TV?

I think he make a stupid show that 100's of millions of people enjoy, including me. His biggest crime is being right of center at an institution like the BBC.
Drop Top Gear because no one wants to watch it or it does not make you money, not because a highly paid celebrity can be a bit of a tit sometimes.
The BBC (and us the licence payers) will be out 100's millions over a non-commercial decision.

I had an idea - they should do a show identical to Top Gear, but on bikes. They could talk about the newest models, concept models, review older models, have guests on the show, timed laps etc etc. I think there's a big enough motorcycle following for it to be a hit. Never been done before too...
I don't watch Top Gear and avoid most things with him on.
Has it been announced what actually happened yet? If he did punch someone, then if it's almost certain that he deserves to lose his job. If I walked into work and punched a colleague then I would be sacked, why is he different?
Knowing the BBC, this does not mean they won't get rid of him.
While I don't know the BBC as well as you gents do, I do feel this is spot on. Also, I am a fan of Top Gear, even though some of their "adventures" do get a bit boring at times.

Is he not more of a character than actually like that? You know what I mean, like Al Murray. People expect him to be a certain way so that's what sort of nonsense he comes out with
Let's just campaign against anyone with personality or opinion..... unless they are socialist robots or hard line feminists.... the media has no power over them.
In all seriousness if we conducted a witch hunt against everyone who punched someone it would be never ending. If this was something that happened in the building trade the other Guy would have hit him back and they would be at the pub drinking beer together..... Oh wait people don't go to pubs any more..... fuck this soft modern Britain I'm sick of bending over and creeping round people to avoid them exercising their RIGHT to be offended.

No he's a proper old fashioned prick. A majestic and endangered species.

I amazed the PC Socialists running the BBC have kept him on this long.
I'm not saying I agree with everything he does but his support I.e the petition with 400,000 signatures is another example of people being fed up with the liberal left forcing bland and apologist views upon us all.
To me it's the same as why people are going over to UKIP and Farage (I am not one), they like people who say what they think. A lot of people have similar views-the old fashioned English view of the world which has been outlawed for too long. The silent majority are starting to stir!
